Harris County Resources for Children and Adults was founded in 1966 as Harris County Child Welfare to provide support services for children taken under the wing of the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services. Fifty years later, Harris County Resources for Children and Adults still provides this support. But the now-county department has expanded services for early prevention, intervention, and adult services.
Harris County Resources for Children and Adults is seeking an Integrated Health Services therapist.
Qualifications
• Master’s Degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy
• One (1) year of continuous full-time work experience providing mental health services to traumatized children.
• Licensed as a Professional Counselor (LPC), Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Registered Play Therapist (RPT™), Licensed Psychological Associate (LPA)
• Spanish Speaking (preferred but not required)
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Provides individual therapy and group therapy to children and young adults in the Integrated Health Services Division of Harris County Resources of Children and Adults (HCRCA).
• Provides crisis intervention, including suicide assessment and homicide assessment, to children and young adults in the Integrated Health Services Division Attends case staffing and coordinates services to meet client needs.
• Communicates with the caseworker and family about clinical needs; and assists in the coordination of services.
• Acts as a liaison with state agencies, departments, and community organizations. Maintains and enters data in the EVOLV client database system for reporting purposes. system.
Benefits:
• $52,436.80-$59,009.60 (Annually)
